mcc shares governor cuomo’s recognition of the significance of this day and echoes the statement included in the : “juneteenth honors the history, perseverance, and achievements of african-americans, and celebrates america’s progress and continuing commitment to realizing the principals of liberty and equality upon which our nation was founded.”
mcc classes are canceled and college offices are closed today. students and employees are encouraged to learn more about juneteenth* and reflect on its importance to our shared history.
